I'm about to place an order on a 135is, as follows:

Space Gray
Coral Red, Glacier
6-speed
Heated seats

Very happy with the below invoice price, and great interest rate on financing from USAA to boot.

How long should I anticipate to wait for the car to be built? Anyone have Performance Center delivery experience? Finally, tell me I'm making the right choice with Space! I've been going back and forth with Mineral and TiAg.

I was ready to get an M-Sport, but after all discounts, difference was only 2 grand, which is more than accounted for in the Performance pieces that come with the "is" (exhaust, ppk, wheels).

Plus, I test drove the IS, so I was hooked on it. BTW, Open Road in NJ has an IS if you'd like to go take a test spin. It's lemans with many options and something like a $48k price tag.

Not certain, but I would assume possibly July 2013. At least that is when my2013 would end.

Thanks. Picked up at BMW of Bridgewater.

Only got a few quick snaps on my delivery joy ride, and now it's dirty thanks to the rain. Will get proper pictures eventually.

SGM is awesome and it reminds me of the e46 color. In the end I think it's too dark for me, though I love how there seems to be many less SGM/coral e82s than SG/coral.

Loving it. Handling on the street is a little more vague then in my old E46, but nowhere near as numb and bloated as the E9x/F30 3 series. So I'm very happy with the direction I chose. Finally found time to get a long drive in yesterday. Very comfortable. Even under break-in (no full throttle + <4k) this thing has gobs more power then necessary. At night, this thing is a torch. Visibility is incredible.

NAV isn't perfect (nothing new there) but over all I actually love idrive, and even better, voice commands.

One of the few negatives is the low fuel economy and small gas tank. I expected the first, forgot about the latter. So range between fill ups is a bit short.

The exhaust is pure sex. Nothing more to say about that.

I'll probably do a few autox's next year to get a handle on the driving characteristics. But by my own rule, daily drivers don't go on track. I have half a SpecE30 build for that duty (was @ NJMP last week instructing).

No one knows for sure..but my salesman @ my local bmw dealership stated that production should go into 2014 for the 2014 model year... (I'm in the market for a Cabrio.
No one knows for sure though. All speculation.

2014 model year would make it seven years for the e82/e88 production... which is about right, since bmw usually sticks to seven year life cycles.

Thanks for the impressions. Were you with nj chap? Larry E. told me someone there had just picked up an IS, maybe that was you.

I've got to get back to the track. Used to be out there with my mini all the time; never took the zhp. It's time to get going again.

I loved the exhaust on the test drive. Might have been the clincher besides the power, as you mention. I won't have to worry about idrive or nav.

Sport seats have adjustable lumbar and side bolsters.

That was probably me. Had dinner with him Sat night before tech. I'll most likely be at the Dec meeting for pinewood.
