Quick euro light question

Hey guys, I recentley ordered a pair of xenon adaptive euro lights from germany. They have all the hardware included, high/low beam bulb, cornoring bulb, turnsignal bulb, ballast, and a part that looks like a scaled metal cylinder. I think its the adaptive headlight motor because its connected to the same platform as the headlight bulb and moves it when i tried to remove it, so i left it be

What I did no see was an h8 bulb, only the ones mentioned above. I can see the angel eye rings in the headlight and just wondering if the h8 bulb is in a differnt location then the us spec h8 bulb. Im attempting to install the bms led h8s before I install the euros this afternoon.

Ill post pictures when im out of work.

Thanks,

Kyle

Open headlight cover, behind the inner angel eye on each side, you will find where the bulb slots in.

Ok, its hard for me to picture. Ill take another look when I'm home but it looked diffrently setup then the us spec. And if the h8 goes into the inner angel eye, where is the bulb for the cornoring light?

Sorry for the ignorance, but I'm very confused because they look like diffrent setups. Again ill take pics when im home from work.

Thank you,

Kyle

Sorry, I missed the adaptive part.. Mine are bi-xenon, not adaptive.

Now I may be wrong but, as far as I know, in this pic (source), it will be the bit furthest to the left as far as i know.

Thank you for this referance aacabriolet. It seems that the bulb in that position in my eurolights i received looks very diffrent then the h8 I had in the us spec lights which is why I am baffled. Does anyone know if the diffrent headlights use a diffrent bulb? I will post pics of my Euro light bulb positions when I return home.

Also for further referance that peice in the middle which apears to be a bulb, to the right of the red circled area, with brown, black, blue and white wires leading out of the plug is the adaptive headlight motor yes?

Thanks

^^That is not an AHL!!! It is a normal Xenon headlight. The lights do not move!

One way to tell an AHL from a non AHL is the center lamp is opaque on AHL units.

pics here... AHL vs non AHL headlights....

Ok thank you dackelone, the guy selling it to me lied. I'm going to inquire a refund. Unless someone wants them for 1000?

Headlights ARE adaptive. Guess the question now is will these e87 lights throw a code in my e82? or even work? and are there any aftermarket options for that ugly stock H7 bulb?

Witch are? I inquired a return so my decision is still pending on either getting a new pair or dealing with the adaptive error. I do not think the software in my car is comparable with the hardware in the headlights I purchased.
