Help me identify a sound
I have a creaking noise coming from the passenger side of my cabin which sounds like plastic or metal flexing. I only hear this sound when there is significant torque on the vehicle, ie when accelerating from a dead stop or when letting off the gas while accelerating. When cruising there is no sound. Has anyone heard a sound like this? Its starting to drive me crazy.

Lol welcome to the 1 series, they squeak and rattle big time. On the passenger side i get a light rattle from the glove box and a pillar under load or when driving on a rough surface. Im not sure about a metallic sound, but if youre just talking rattles..."it is what it is". The trim that runs along the dash has also been known to have rattles underneath it as well.
