FMIC Stand-off: Evolve vs. ETS
Hey there!
So I've been looking at different I/Cs to upgrade my 1M and I was mainly looking into 4 brands: Evolve, ETS, Forge and Helix. I've finally narrowed it down to either Evolve or ETS, and was wondering what you guys think?

ETS is bar & plate, Evolve is tube & fin and twice the cost for some reason. Strange as tube and fin is cheaper usually.
I'd get Forge if I had my choice again, but more than happy with ETS unit.

I think they all require a small piece of trim removed to install. I've got Evolve, it's good build quality but you pay premium for it.
What I have observed about the Evolve unit is its very light compared to ETS. Ultimately its comes down to your buying criteria. hth |

ETS ftw. I ran into a slight issue during install and ETS customer service was top-notch. The fact that they're manufactured in the US, makes it easier if you encounter issues....exchanges and tech support. I hear forge is pretty badass, but they are produced outside of the US.

Great thread!
Our intercooler does come at a higher price than most and the reason is the 100% OEM fitment with the CNC flanges for the stock clip on hoses and the core itself. ![]() An intercooler should be judged upon it's ability to lower intake air temperatures while retaining a low pressure drop. Recovery rate is something that is not often mentioned or discussed much and is a very important aspect of the performance of the intercooler. |

Now, one thing I couldn't get from Imran was, how big the core of Evolve intercooler exactly? I mean vs. the stock. I am trying to guess if I will have worse lag, even a tiny worsening of it.
