I can only hope to match your performance at Budds Creek, MD this coming Sunday. I have COBB and will run a protuned map with E85 and 93 mix. Will keep you posted, great run though!!

Any updates? I've been thinking about hitting up PTF and getting an E-tune to stay ahead of RnmEvo9.

I was supposed to attend Maryland Internation Raceway (MIR) this weekend to put this tune to the test. Saturday night my wife asked me to attend a bday party at this venue. When I walked in, it was a surprise retirement party for me. Had many of my soldiers there, friends, and all my brothers and dad all the way from Puerto Rico! Needless to say, I had to postpone my plans for Sunday since most of my family were going back to PR on Monday.
Plan on going this weekend. For some reason the car feels slower??? Don't know if it's just in my head. Currently running about 40% E85- 60% 93 mix and prior to this I just had the 93 oct COBB OTS map. Jake from PTF did both a 93 oct and the E85/93 40/60 mix tune for me. So we will see what happens this weekend. There is an MRI track rental on Sat (cost is about 100$) or a test and tune on Sunday for 30$. The catch is Jake will be there on Sat to tune a couple of cars so he can fine tune my car, but the price is so high for the attendance. Undecided about when to go, figure that if I'm going to spend that much, I might as well go to a Dyno and have him fine tune it there. Anyways, sorry for book I wrote...bottom line is I will go this weekend, and let you know my results, ASAP. thanks |

To clarify, again for some reason I felt more acceleration with the OTS COBB map for 93 in comparison to the 40/60 E85 mix that Jake protuned for me. However, I have no way of knowing for sure. I have not really tested the 93 PTF map yet so I can't comment on that one.

Quick update: Budd's Creek today:
Temp was between 45 to 50 degrees Humidity was at 65% 2009 135 COBB Protuned by PTF (Jake Hershorin) E85/93 mix (40%E85/60%93Oct) CPE intercooler DCI CPE Charge Pipe/Tial BOV CPE Downpipes OEM wheels with R1R Proxes (245/40/18s) Car RAN AMAZINGLY FAST!! I will later do a better job with details of the run but 2 Months ago with Dinan Stage 2, I ran 12.9 sec with trap speed of about 107 mph. Today: 6 Runs of 12.4, 12.3 12.2, 11.98, 11.90 and 11.76 !!!!!! Trap speed were 117, 118, 119 and 120 mph!!!! My last run was the best run, although it looked slow as I ran against a ZR1 vette. I trapped 120 mph and ran 11.76. 60Ft time was 1.94 sec. So again not running the popular 17" Kosei/MT wheel/tire set up that most of the top guys use so definitely can get lower times in the future ( I am done for this season as I want to end the year on a high note!). Again I will do a better job of posting all of this, I have the time slips as well as video of all runs. I was launching in 1st gear for the first 3 but then started to do 2nd gear launches with much better results. My tires were at 28psi for all runs except the last run. For last run we set tires to 25psi and got the best hook (relatively speaking). I am so happy with the car and Jake's tunning and again will post better info at a later date. Yes, I still don't know how it ran so fast. Plan on mounting some Mickey thompsons on some kosei wheels early spring next year and see what happens.
I do definitely feel that the Valve Intake cleaning which I completed about 3 weeks prior as well as the brand new dealer installed sparkplugs with oil change (car was at 49k so last free service) completed about 1 week before the track day definitely had a factor in my car's performance. I regret not staying there about another hour to do a couple more runs as well as not reducing any weight on the car at all for that day (3340 lbs). Anyways, maybe I can improve on this next year.
