What color is your car? That can make the difference on how to make the contrast work well.

If you have a black car then definitely going with a flat/matte black. However, on other colors a gloss black can really make the paint on both the car and wheels pop

Gloss black on black will be monotone, definitely matte black if you must, bit here's another idea, what about matte grey, like a matte version of space grey? Could look incredible!

I dunno technically, all the gunmetal wheels I see look to have a different depth than SGM paint, which is why I specified.

If the wheel was actually painted like a gloss sgm that could potentially turn out well.

But, to the OP's original question, if I had to choose between the gloss and flat it would be flat all day on black.

Have you considered maybe just googling black on black cars? Not specifically a 135... You can definitely find all types of black wheels on black cars on googling.

I also tried googling black on black 135 and haven't come up with anything solid yet. If I do I'll post up comparisons

Just get gloss, you seem convinced already - you don't need our approval. If you get gloss be sure to post pics, and if doesn't look good; I'll be nice about it.

Are they being painted or powder coated?
