It's pretty squidgy. Honestly better off without.

Yea, probably could do without the adhesive removal.

My car has been delayed at the port. I was told that the port installs the IS parts. Is this true?

While they have the capability, I find it hard to believe they do it as the norm. It's not that large of facility.

Don't know, but I'm definitely going to ask! I imagine the PPK would come from the factory, but what do I know?

Hopefully I'll have some Space Gray/black mirror pictures for you when my IS gets here. Still freaking waiting for a ship. I have to believe Sandy screwed with the shipping schedules to the East coast.
Awesome! Can't wait for the pics!!!

Ok, my SGM/black 135is is due to arrive at the dealer next week...unfortunately I'm gone from this Saturday to the following Saturday, so I won't have pics until Sunday the 25th at the earliest...the suspense is killing me!

Mine is now officially on its way - in the middle of the ocean somewhere on a boat called Porgy. Port date = 11/29. Pickup date, not sure.

No, it comes standard with the 6-speed, but the DCT is only a $450 option.

Thanks man! Yeah the color combo is dope; will attach another pic once I have the spoiler on. Only reason I've been waiting is because everyone I've asked to do it has been concerned about removing the stock one. They say that it leaves very stubborn residue.

Any thoughts?

They are correct!! The residue from the double sided tape on mine took me over a hour to remove with Goo Gone and adhesive remover...What a pain that was! It was worth it in the end though! The new spoiler looks killer!

3M Eraser Wheel + corded drill + strong arms. Goo gone is for suckers!

It is also called a 3M Stripe-Off Wheel at some stores. I bought it at my local NAPA auto parts. Be sure and get the eraser wheel AND the mandrel for the drill.

This is not my video but shows how it is to used:

I bought one a few years ago and it has lasted quite a while. I used it on my 135 when I put on the JBSpeed spoiler. Took the 2009 vintage residue off in about 10 minutes. It still requires minimal cleanup afterwards, as all the eraser shavings make a mess everywhere, but it's nowhere near the time it takes with goo gone or the like.

I'm still not sure how I'm going to feel about them on space gray, but they do look pretty good with the shadowline on the AW. Speaking of which, I've never been one for white cars, but all the 1s in white I've seen look damn good. I've always been a silver or black guy, but I think the AW 1M might be my favorite.

I said I would never buy another black car and I ended up getting a black 135i. I hate how hard it is to keep clean, I am constantly cleaning it.....but damn it does look good when clean and shinny
I really like how good the white looks with the carbon diffuser/spoilers !
