VRSF DP's do fit RHD 135's!
Hi all,
thinking of getting some VRSF 3" N54 catless Downpipes. I have a few questions; How much real-life performance benefit do DP's add, considering I currently have Cobb Stage 1, so I assume I can go to Stage 2? How much louder will the stock exhaust be with the DP's? How much $$$ to have them installed? Cheers

From what I've read, you will get about a 20-30hp improvement by changing to 3" catless DPs. If you are able to change to a more aggressive tune by changing the DPs I'd think that the gain would be even more than that. Davo135i's car had AR DPs with stock exhaust which I heard when we went to Wakefield in September. It's maybe mildly louder at most but there's a change in the tone of the exhaust. There's a slight increase in the mechanical nature of the sound which I assume is attributable to being able to hear the turbos. As for how much to get them installed I'm not entirely sure. I'd guess an experienced installed could do it in under 2 hours from what I've read. I want to try and install them myself though, which I've heard can take all day for someone who's inexperienced ![]() |

Down to $320. When I try and place an order, and put in my address, it still states that shipping is free! I'm tempted to place an order and see what happens. I just rang Southern BM in Melbourne, and was informed that the VRSF one's might not fit RHD cars. Does anyone know if they do or not?

Install is not cheap because its a b%$#* of a job, noise is nice especially under WOT. Real world performance gains I dont believe are as good as all the vendors make them out to be but of course it all helps
![]() Will VRSF DPs fit RHD cars? you need to be careful on anything thats not AR Design in my opinion. I had some iCarbon ones a while back and they didnt fit so the workshop needed to make some modifications to the pipes...$700 later in install costs. AR are more expensive but they have been proven to fit RHD cars so just check it out first. |

I spoke to Tiago from VRSF with the exact same queries you guys had.
Shipping is not free like it says on the website. It is in fact US$88 last time I checked with him. I asked him about fitment and he assured me that they would fit an RHD car without any problems and did not require the relocation of any O2 bungs etc etc. I.e. should be a direct bolt on. I'm pretty sure that they have a guarantee on fitment but that would obviously require sending them back to the US. |

More cons than pros IMO. If you really want more power then DP's are a must

Awaiting confirmation from VRSF re RHD fitment, anyone from Melbourne want to share the shipping?
Would be good to get a discount somewhere on fitting too! Anyone know where to get them installed in Melbourne? Got a quote of $440 from Southern BM ![]() |

pros = POWER! ... +5%
cons = illegal ($10k fine & $100k fine to installer), no pink slip, smell, noise For 1M's not really worth it as different DP's, but 135i's definitely do DP's and meth if chasing power.

I just had my installed today... bought about 6 months ago from Burger Tuning "Active Autowerkes"...
i am running a JB4, on map 1... The drive home was in traffic... So i didn't get a chance to try them out. but as the comments above have said... not a huge sound difference , but definitely notice the turbo whine more...

Does the DPs cause bad smell inside the cabin whilst the car is in motion?
