yes they would replace it if it was a battery problem, i'm afraid you're gonna have to give us a little more information tho. Was the car running, if not did it start? What happened if it didnt start? Etc.

I have been having a weird issue with my battery as well... It always cranks and hasnt died, but for about 5 months when I start it the cock is reset. I am thinking its because I have a 21 pound 400cc Braille battery.

take it to autozone, have it tested for free and see what numbers it comes back with, then report back to us. Sounds like the battery may have been contaminated somehow and killed a cell or something so now it doesn't hold power very well. But at the same time, it could be many other things as well.

For those of us who like tools, Harbor Freight has a battery tester I got for less than $20 on sale, not sure the normal price, that will test a battery under load. It is a volt meter with a BIG resister. The switch to engage the load is momentary and the unit gets hot as the resister disapates something like 100A for a few seconds while you get a reading. I bought it to test an old boat battery. Seems to work fine. The scale it has reads in simple green and red terms and also CCA. It also will tell you if a battery is fully charged (that doesn't require a load, it is just voltage). I found my battery, despite being more than 10 years old, is fine. Here's a link:

One word of caution, I do not buy from Harbor Freight mail order. I've tried it a couple times and waited a month or more for something to arrive. They are VERY slow. There is a store nearby and I buy there.

As you are under warranty, take it to your dealer. The low battery warning can also be triggered by a bad IBS, a JBE problem or other issues - let them sort it out on their dime.

Hello I went to the dealer today and the advisor told me the problem arose from me leaving ,the interior lighting on.

$568 to replace a battery? And you believe him? He's not your best friend when it comes to servicing your car so if I were you I'd avoid him and that dealer. $568 for a battery? Think about that one.

A new BMW AGM battery runs about $400. And then you need to have it "coded" to your car. About one hour's labor. So... $568 doesn't sound that far out of line.
