People have done it, but it looks like crap unless you sand down these little knobs that are left on the bumper after removal. Which means you should be prepared to have the bumper resprayed.

I've done it- I personally like the look. It probably looks better with black, as the clips blend in better.
As far as a DIY, the grill is attached on the bumper with little pressure clips going all the way around. I strongly suggest you take the whole bumper off- it would be easier/faster to do this rather than trying to get under it, imo. ![]() |
