I like the idea of getting rid of the orange, but I don't think these are very flattering on the car. In these photos that I assume were taken by the company selling them they look like they don't lay down correctly. I think it makes the car look worse than the orange maker looks. I appologise if I seem a little harsh, but you asked for opinions and i had been looking for a way to get rid of the orange myself and I have looked at these previously and decided the car looks much better without them. I don't think these covers look very professional or go with the lines of the car and I also think that it makes what's left of the headlights not conform with the rest of the lines rather....

I think a good tenting job might look better than these.

I have these and love them. I can't stand the orange reflectors and these do a perfect OEM looking job of hiding them.

I agree they are a bit expensive but totally worth it in my opinion.

Here's a good picture where you can see what it looks like before and after the install:

and here's a close up:

That looks great and I'll be buying those once my 128i comes into the dealer! Reminds me of the painted eyebrows that were popular back when I had an E36

IMO that's not as good of an option because the amber is apparent when there's light shining on the tinted portion
I'd still go with the pieces from bimmian, and IMO they are cleaner looking

vinyl is still best option... so that your not covering up your blinkers... why give anyone more of a chance to hit you with such crap ass drivers on the road.. i would think you would want to make sure that no one is in doubt of your blinker markers in use.

if you look the blinker bulbs are not covered, that would be illegal
So these are still the better option IMO

safety vs looks.. i would not sacrifice .. i would love to see how they look in action though to see how much of the light gets blocked.

the inside of the housing which hold the signal bulb is reflective, so I wouldn't think it would affect it that much and would still be readily apparent from the side angles

it comes down to what you want and what you feel safe with. I would love to see a video of these blinking from the side angel shot like that last picture.

Kinda looks like just a piece of plastic taped onto the headlamp. Oh wait, that's what it is...

Personally, I've never found what's so offensive about having orange turn signals, but people seem to be pretty passionately opposed to them for some reason.

Most people find them to clash with the color of the car, would be perfect if you had an orange car, and not so bad with red or yellow
