Miss my new 128 - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Picked up my new 128 Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. Went on a 500 mile drive Saturday and then had it hit on Monday in my Driveway. The roofing company putting on my roof backed a dumptruck into the passenger door. $3000 damage I was sick but now it has been a week in the shop. I really want my car back. I have been driving my wife's new Z4 nice but not my car. Not as roomy and harder to see traffic, quicker but nothing special. Traded my Porsche Boxster on it it. I will try to post a picture of damage.

you can do add attachment, or upload it to a site like photo bucket and place the url here in [IMG] brackets

Body shop says maybe Tuesday. Really hope so, the Z4 is cramped but quick.

It went in last Monday. Stopped by today and they are looking at tomorrow I get it back. New door is painted and starting the rebuild phase. The body is done and rear bumper and tail lights are going on now. Guts in door and trim pieces. Unless they hit a snag I will be back in my new car in 24 hours. ðŸ˜Š

Don't think you can post pictures from phone. I can't figure it out of it can be done.

Car is getting new door from factory. Small ding will be pulled and fixed in body. Work is done with no insurance claim so carfax will stay clean. Lifetime warranty on body work so I will keep for now. Unless you have a Porsche Panamera.

Well. I stopped by today to check on progress. Door is on and they are putting guts back in. Should be done tomorrow.

Here is the issue Color Does Not Match. They said they blended the color in and I showed them where they started and stopped. It is green from my headlight to the trunk lid. I am going to be sick. I called my daughter who works for them and told here to go look at the car - no warning. She text me and said its Green. Looks like I will have a fun conversation tomorrow when I pick it up.

Any ideas or experiences here.

Note car is Space Grey from factory.
