Oil Catch Can for N55 ?? anyone installing these ?
anyone installing these in a 135i ?
I dont track or race my car, just a weekend car. Only mods i plan to do in the future : new intake, berk exhaust and possibly cobb N55 chip. Is this catch can nice to have to preventive maintenance ? http://burgertuning.com/BMW_335_oil_catch_can.html 2nd question, do you guys recommend i change the charge pipe w/ above conditions ? http://burgertuning.com/chargepipe_N55_BMW.html Thanks again for help. If you plan on doing those mods.... I would recommend the Charge Pipe upgrade for sure, no question asked.

Once you tune and increase boost, the stock one may fail more quickly as it was designed for lower pressures, so this is where an aftermarket one can come in handy. |

Agreed. I have an ER Charge Pipe, and OCC is on the way. Just search around of pictures of stuff people have found in theirs and you will be convinced to get one.

I dont think so. The only way to extend the oil change intervals is using a quality fully synthetic oil, like Castrol Edge, Red Line,Royal Purple,Pennzoil Platinum or similar. I personally use Castrol Edge With Titanium. I do my oil change intervals in my 135i, at 3/3.5K miles, but you can go to 5-6K miles and you will still be on the safe side,I just like my oil to be always as fresh as possible,it all depends on your driving style.
