Third brake light replacement in 135i

I have had my third brake light replaced twice due to it cracking, in the exact same spot each time, and I will have the third replacement done in a week! I may use my trunk once a week and am very careful as not to slam it closed so I have no idea why this keeps happening! The first time I had it in for replacement I was told that they had seen this with several others because of the construction of it, but three times?! Anybody else have any probs with theirs?

The dealer has to gring away the inside corners of your trunk slot where the 3rd brake light resides. Otherwise the "new" light will crack just like all the old ones. There is a TSB on this. Have your dealer fix it right this time.

Exactly as Dackelone said your dealer isn't doing it right. There are some extra washer and other stuff that needs to be done for it to be fixed properly.

Mod List:
BMW Performance Parts: Front Bumper | Suspension | Exhaust | Gear Knob | Hand Brake | Steering Wheel
