Yeh the highways have those cameras mounted on the roofs which continuously scan regos on the road. Hopefully taking the sticker off doesn't unnecessarily complicate things during traffic stops.

For what i've heard only the Highway patrol have ANPR. But the general duties can still look up the database on their in-car units.
