OT: Porsche woes
You would think that having your German vehicle serviced by German mechanics in nearly the same town where the vehicle was designed and tested would make troubleshooting a breeze? HA! not so! During various stages Big Sally was hooked up to the diagnostic machine. Throttle position sensor? Nein! Throttle body? Nein! Mass air flow sensor? Nein! On two occasions Porsche Reutlingen was confident they fixed the glitch pulling out of the bay with broad smiles only to return within two minutes sporting the more typical Schwabisch frowns. These are the same people who service and prep ALL of the Hahn motorsport 911s competing in Deutsche Porsche Cup!
Follwing Dack's advice I dropped off a case of Budweiser bottles with my Service Advisor.... I was nearly blinded by his smile of gratitude.

Hahhaa Bob. See I told you the Budweiser would be liked. Bring some Dr. Pepper when you pickup Big Sally!
![]() I am thinking you have an electrical harness issue. Bad engine ground? Keep us updated. ![]()

Yes...they are truly befuddled because the deep dive code reader is not pointing at any obvious malfunction. I think after this one I need to purchase a "made in Flacht" sticker. This should affirm the Beuerlein's as passionate enthusiasts who are economically committed (please sir we reccomend you have a seat) vs. casual drivers.

You should tell 'em the story about the Mechanix gloves! ![]() Bob - nice to hear "Big Sally" is back on the mean streets for Stuttgart! ![]() It is pretty common for VAG cars to have a bad TPS sensor. When they go bad, they often have a "dead spot" only at a certian throttle opening. This confuses the hell out of the DME and leaves no faults.

Yes! I think it was ´99 ... Four Weeks in Lexington, Kentucky
. Was a great Time! Nice People and hard Party all night long. I am sure i lost a few Brain Cells there... ![]() And, a Lynyrd Skynyrd Live Concert in Frankfort!!! Free Bird together with thousands of drunken, Southern Flag Vest wearing People. Man that was a BLAST. And then, there was a Girl named Robin and her Dachshund ![]() ![]() Heres a little "Souvenir": ![]() |

I'm from Kentucky, but I'm not a Skynyrd fan. I was still living in there in 1999.
