So I opened my hood for the first time to check out what was involved with changing out the h8 bulb for the halos and I came across this relay and I'm not sure what it does. It seems to have been installed after the fact as I see metal shards where it's attached. Any idea what it's for?

Relay for the higher output electric cooling fan. The 135is has PPK2 (software plus additional radiator and higher output cooling fan) installed at the port.

It appears to be the fan relay that comes with the PKK 2. The 135i's standard relay is not compatible with the upgraded 850w radiator fan that comes with the PPK 2 and possibly the 135is.
