I thought 1Ms had the _actual_ break in service scheduled for 1,200 miles consisting of oil, tranny fluid, and diff fluid changes.
1M or not, my car is having all changed out at 1,200 miles. |

I make a habit of changing my transmission fluid on every car I own every 80-100K km.
Ive never had a car have a transmission failure, or even issue, currently my oldest car has about 300K km on it, thats my workhorse truck, so it hasnt had an easy life.

If you are gonna keep your car... I would change it. You could wait until ~30K miles though. Thats about when I changed mine. But even at 30K mine trans oil looked very dark and nasty. So maybe changing yours at 10K isn't a bad idea. It certainly can not hurt anything.
Make sure to read this thread... you want to use MTF-LT-5 oil in your 1M trans. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=620282
