Trying to buy an ETS 5" FMIC and need to know if it will work for the N55 even though all the sites say that it is for the N54?

It won't. They have some different bend on the turbo side of the intercooler for the N55.

Curious if its possible to get the kit and just use the core with the stock piping. Its NIB but being sold cheaper than anywhere else and cheaper than the Wagner core that uses stock piping.

Might go with the wagner still though. Just really like the ETS core :-/
