Got a thumbs up today...kinda funny

So I was on my way to pick up my son from school in the 135 with the windows down and sunroof open jamming along to some tunes...

Stopped at a light and looked over to find a couple smiling, bobbing their heads and mouthing something while giving me a thumbs up. I then realized I was jamming 99 Red Balloons in German and they were singing along!

I smiled back, the song faded out and they said "great music, matches the car!"

Couldn't have scripted it better. My first thumbs up since getting my 135.

She did both an English and a German version and both were hits here. Song is about the threat of war with the soviet union and how we Americans were using Germany as a major staging area and monitoring location for keeping an eye on the Soviet Union.

Hahah that makes the fact that you were singing along even better

Mostly the same, but the German version's a little more... pessimistic and vivid. More about men being greedy and quick to start wars, while the English version is a little more lighthearted. I remember learning about it in German class and translating lol
