Finally fixed that unsightly diffuser
I know the stock diffuser is suppose to be grey, but mine looks somewhat chalky and faded. So, Plasitdip to the rescue!!

that looks really good, man!!!! i might have to do the same. I really don't care for the CF diffuser i've seen on the forums, but would like the stock one to be darker. this is the perfection solution.

Plastidip is wonderful to work with. And the best part is that, if you mess up or don't like it, you can peel it off. I actually masked off the area with about 1/2" of paint showing all around the diffuser. Then, when the PD was dry, I removed the paint and peeled off the PD that was on the paint. This left a perfect paint line.

It's easier to just take it off and spray it properly! Plastidip is awesome.

Looks good man. I also don't like the stock diffusor. at all. Might plastidip mine black until I feel like shelling out the cash for the BMW CF diffusor.

You could always take it to a body shop and even get it painted black sapphire metallic to match. A few people on here have gotten them color-matched, or went high gloss black or matte black as opposed to stock gray. $1200+ for that BMW CF is sooooo steep. =(

I had a body shop paint mine jet black with satin clear coat. Since you can easily pop it off and do the prep yourself, they don't charge much at all to paint it. It really goes nicely with blacklines.

Great idea... I may do that on mine this weekend. Bough black plasti dip to do the wheels months ago but I changed my mind and havn't gotten around to selling it. This sounds like an awesome alternative.

Looks really good man.. I thought about doing the same, but felt I needed more contrast on the black so I went CF. On our other 135 (crimson red) we had the diffuser painted gloss black and it looks absolutely amazing on the red..

i saw a pic here on 1 addicts of someone that cut out the center indentation and put mesh behind it. That + repainting would make for an awesome diffuser for almost no money.
