mirror covers

who is going to paint? who is going to plasti dip and who is going to wrap?

Or do you guys just plan on leaving them grey.

I personally would consider leaving them grey if my car wasn't MG.

I think there is too much going on with the mg.

You have black, dark grey, and light grey.

I want to go gloss black to match the shadow line trim

I'm going vinyl wrap, have m perf grilles on order. Just want to clean it up and have fewer different finishes going on. Debadging as well so there will be no chrome, all black, MG, wheels and that's it.

I was thinking of at least removing the M logos on the wings. a little OTT for me, not a true M car, let's be a bit parsimonuous with the M logos. I'm getting the M perf grills as well, I don't like chrome. After all the discussions on the Wheels thread not so sure going to go for 19" wheels, seems way too complicated ...

A wheel kit from plasti dip is $30. General consensus is that's a good place to start and try before you buy.

That said I like the wheels as-is. I don't dislike any one element, it's just the combo of all together.

Wait I like the color of the wheels, but I abhor the style. Heavy handed, not refined, too much metal. Some of the ugliest OEM wheels around on a sports (ok sporty) car IMHO.

CF replacements!

I believe they are the same as F30/F20. There are lots of good options based on the 3 series forum that cost ~150!

Oh that looks great. Any chance for a shot of the front head on with the whole car in it? I'm 99% sure I'm doing the same.

Thank you very much, that's super helpful. I am 100% now going to do the mirrors in gloss black vinyl. Would have considered CF but will match the window trim this way, I am going for fewer finishes as opposed to more. If you do the spoiler please post some photos I was considering that as well but wasn't sure it would work well in that application due to the shape (I have no experience with wrap so may work fine). So far the definite list is black grilles, body colored reflectors, stealth indicators, black mirrors, tint.

I have gloss black grilles and color matched reflectors on the way.

I too wanted fewer colors.

Where did you order your reflectors from?

Does anyone know how to remove the mirror caps? I'm planning on plasti dipping them but want to take them off the car to do so.

Just get your fingers on the top and side gap and then use your thumbs to press against the opposing black plastic on the other side of the gap. Make sure you have a towel on the ground in case it pings off and you scratch it. Learnt the hard way...
Hope this helps. I'm plasti dipping mine this morning. Will post pics later
