18" Bridgestone Run Flat with bubble ????

I was checking my tires today and noticed that one of my front tires has a bubble on the side wall. The car has 7,000 miles. Will Bridgestone replace it? Anyone have this problem?

If you have the tire insurance and the tire was damaged, they should replace it...

Good luck. I had the same happen to me on my S60 with 45 section Pirellis. Dealer said that it was caused by the road so wasn't covered. Unless you have the insurance, you may be out of luck.

Happend to me about 2 months after delivery. Had the dealership replace the tire with the sidewall bubble. If you have no tire insurance prepare to dish out $460.00 for that one tire.

You've likely hit a pot hole. Thats what I have done and it bent the rim a little and bubbled up the sidewall. If that tire is OEM you might be able to get BMW to replace it but I doubt that very much. You can take it to your local Bridgestone/Firestone (not sears or any other reseller) and they will check it to see if it is a manufacture defect. If it is they will replace it, if not your outta luck and will have to buy a new tire, unless you bought road hazard. If you didn't buy road hazard when you go in the shop you can buy road hazard for the rest of them and then buy it for the new one as well. YOU CAN ONLY BY ROAD HAZARD FOR OEM TIRES. (less of course you bought them at the Bridgestone/Firestone shop). Here is a link to find the shop nearest you. http://www.bridgestonetire.com/store...r/index_bs.asp

Hope that helps

I did have the exact problem on my left rear tire. I brought it to my local BMW dealer presented my wheel/tire insurance cert. and they ordered my tire....Arrived and installed 2 days later. The insurance has already paid for itself....

PS I am seelling my 4 Bridgestone Potenza RF's......I have a post for this. Replaced them with all-season non RF's...Good luck. BMW nor Bridgestone will replace a tire with a bubble....

tire insurance is for idiots,

and also, 460 for a tire is just stupid.

there's no tire for any E90 stock that you couldn't get replaced, runflat or not for under 300 bucks

people.... get with the program, learn how much tires cost (www.tirerack.com) and stop getting abused so badly

if you buy the insurance I'd also like to sell you some oceanfront property in arizona
