JB+ First Dynos!!!

Hey guys,

The dyno runs were performed on the BMS 335i on 91 and 93 octane. The goal was to have a stock 335i to test this on but it didn't work out.

The base runs are with UR catless downpipes, stock intake, otherwise stock.

Bottom line:
91 octane, stock intake, lowest setting: +33whp / +30wtq
Same but at default setting: +46whp / +42wtq
Same but at 3/4 setting: +42whp / +42wtq (sometimes less is more!)

Then we added a gallon of 104 to get to 93 octane:
3/4 setting: +62whp / +52wtq
100% setting: +72whp / +66wtq
100% + dual cone intake: +78whp / + 74wtq

Finally for the glory run we went to straight 100 octane, and did the free solenoid bypass: +82whp / +82wtq

I am disappointed that you could not do the dynos on a bone stock car. Downpipes is a big mod, and it skewed the results. I mean, you combine the easiest mod with the most difficult mod to install ? Did you forget who your target customers for JB+ are ?

What do you mean ? I am actually a fan of BMS (more a fan of BMS attitude towards tuning and customers because I do not own a BMS product until now) and I am disappointed because I was seriously thinking to buy a JB+. But first I want to know how it would perform on MY car and not a non-stock car. The graphs are just misleading.

Just to clarify the baseline run was done with the downpipes as well. In any dyno you want to look at the change from baseline and not absolute numbers as each dyno/day is slightly different. Additional testing and dynos will follow on a 100% stock car. Just didn't work out that way this weekend.

Yes sir. I get 93 octane at Sam's Club. It's sweet n cheap. Add in a bottle of octane boost, and I'm bitchin' fast with my BMS Dual Cones and JB2. Can't wait to upgrade to the JB3.

That's gonna still be faster than the JB+ right???
