Did an entire cooling system Flush + coolant additive
Still trying to get ready for this year's track events. I used prestone super radiator flush, and ran the heater, to help clean out the heating core. I then used a 30/70 mixture of Total Auto Supra (extended life coolant). Dropped in some Gunk Liquid Kool coolant additive. Currently running a good 5 degrees cooler oil temps. I strongly recommend this service, once over 50K miles. I'm currently at 80K miles myself.

Well depends what you are running. With glycol and water mix is not optimal for performance in hot weather.

I have no interest in antifeeze, just max cooling. I flushed mine a few weeks ago but did the 50/50 mix with BMW coolant and distilled water and a splash of Purple Ice. |

Well i guess the bmw coolant is a glycol mix? Ask them but i am sure best
is distilled water with purple ice or watervwatter.

how about a DIY on the coolant flush... searched and didn't see one.
Did you have to drop the FMIC? did it fill very close to capacity? I need to do this soon. |
