P3 Boost Gauge vs Warranty

Well, I have a v5 procede so when i go in and out to the dealer it is very easy to clear codes and bring back to stock with concerns to the engine.

Has anyone been accused at dealers to using a tune when leaving in boost gauges?? I want to get the P3 Gauge, but i don't want to rip it in and out every time I go to the dealer.

Since it technically doesn't modify the engine just reads data off of it, I'd assume the answer is that the dealer can accuse any engine malfunction to the gauge, but maybe electrical problems if they were to occur.

Anyone have experiences they can share regarding other mods that might hint to dealers that a tune was at some point existent and therefore void engine warranty?

I guess since i kind of answered my own question, I'm looking for experiences with boost gauges and dealers.

Hope this post doesn't result in everyone linking the warranty section.

my dealer thinks it is a stock gauge! all you need to let them know if they ask is that you like to monitor boost pressures, 0-60 times, digital speedo, rpm shift etc. No reason for them to assume you have a tune with all the stuff the new gauge does.

I would tell them its an increase safety to the vehicle to monitor the different aspect of the vehicle like boost pressure since the vehicle does not give you that information.
