I had mine replaced at 32k for that same whistle/odd noise. But here's what worries me, since they've been replaced I haven't modified the car at all. (Except to log boost because they weren't installed properly after being replaced. I found that I was only getting 2 PSI, which they went back and retightened the connections to fix) So here I am with replaced turbos and a stack of papers from what my dealership did under warranty to replace them that's about an inch and a half thick. So here's the worrisome part, the new turbos have already started to do the whine/whistle(not too loudly, but they were completely quiet when I got them) and its only been about 400-500 miles since replacement. The upside is until I heard these noises the car felt like a N52 like it was lacking mid-range torque, now it's starting to feel normal again.
