Good stuff, but -- unfortunately -- the wires on my car don't correspond to the colors indicated in the diagrams.
Not a big deal, since pretty easy to check which wire is getting current for brakes, for directional signals and for running lights. I'll just need to check each wire on the right and left tail lights.
I'll be using a Tow Ready ModuLite HD Protector, a circuit protected trailer light power module.

EDIT: FWIW, the five wires on the left side tail light connector (front top to bottom) are brown, green w/yellow, grey w/yellow, black w/purple and blue w/green. On the right side, they are brown, green w/red, gray w/blue, black w/purple and blue w/brown.
EDIT #2: The above is for the larger connector. The three wire connector is as follows: left side -- brown, black w/yellow and grey w/purple; right side - brown, black w/blue and grey w/yellow. Done now!
