Manual trans holds 2.1 liters of trans oil. You basically just keep adding fluid until it starts to spill out of the "fill hole" on the side of the trans. BMW specs: MTF-LT-3
Rear diff holds 1.2 liters of fluid. BMW specs: Castrol SAF-XJ
