Running the lap belt over the side bolster isn't ideal. If you brake hard coming down a straight, you'll feel the shoulder strap lock up but there's going to be slack between you and the lap belt. You should try running some seat belt extenders and snaking them through the side hole. This what I did on my other car before I switched to a 6 point.
