You can check ur ECU version on realoem if you plug in your VIN number. It's under the engine category. If you click on one and it comes up as no parts listed, you don't have that version.
On that thread if you go to one of the later pages, the vendor lists that specific ecu number, which is the August 2012 N55 - End of E82 n55 production ECU.
