The backup lights in a 2013 BMW 135i use pulsed (digital) power. This does not work with the Garmin BC30 backup camera! I had to buy a relay at AutoZone and find a clean analog power supply right off the battery (which is in the trunk anyway).
I included a couple of pictures to show how I wired the relay.
