I thought the 09 & 10 model year N54's had the same problems? The warranty extension covers those as well, which leads me to think that any turbo design changes circa '09 didn't resolve the issue.
I hate being a noob- surely this is all clearly documented already, and it twerks me off no end to not have clear fact at hand to reference.
