Another possible source is vehicle-in-operation (VIO) data. If anyone happens to be a SEMA member, you can request this data for free but I think it would be much more limited than the full history reports.
So for process, I guess it would be getting a bulk download of reports for all the 1Ms whose VINs are listed in the old google spreadsheet registry, and then just updating the google spreadsheet?

Could be a team effort - we can all go in for the $400, share the reports on a google drive, and split up reports between us to update the registry?
