Using the build date, nearly all One Series cars will soon be 10 years old! For example, my 2012 135i is 7/11, so this coming July the car will be 10 years old.
These cars aren't worth much likely less than $10K. A friend recently bought a 2012 convertible with 63K miles for $5K. When a car passes the 100K mark, it probably can be picked up for less than $10K regardless of the brand.
What one can really buy them for is a function of their negotiating skills. One way to find out the bottom dollar is check the trade in value. Dealers will send these cars to auction knowing they won't fetch much money.
The moral is don't fall in love with your car and don't put any "upgrades" in it. However, if you have the mechanical skills, you might find an old BMW with a lot of life left in it after doing some repairs. Of course, it is a crap shoot.
