Hi Folks,
Just wanted to share the list of items I used to do a proper Clutch upgrade able to handle FBO 1M on Stage2+ (like MHD). This list is based on all the knowledge collected from this forum over the last 10 years. All is guaranteed to fit, don't worry. I did the change using ALL these parts.
This is a 1M Coupe ONLY list. It's an OCD SPEC list, refreshing all parts i can since I'm there. Fit on 135 n54/n55 is not guaranteed
Clutch
* 1x Clutch Set - BMW (335is/550i/650i able to handle about 700nm. It fits our 1M, perfect fit on my car and nice OEM feeling): 21207603248
* 5x Torx Bolt, M12X90 (mandatory fresh bolts needed because... Aluminum!): 23001222894
* (Optional) Rest of the bolts are steel... if you want to also have fresh bolts to hook your transmission to the engine, then:
- 2x Torx Bolt, M12X50: 23001222891
- 3x ASA-Bolt, M8X50: 23001222887
- 1x ASA-Bolt, M10X85: 07129903800
* 1x Clutch Fork Pivot (pick one):
- (Optional) Steel Fork Pivot: 21511223281 (In case you want to upgrade the nylon Pivot for a steel one. Looks the brass ones are not good at long term after many years of research and reports)
- Nylon Fork Pivot: 21511223328 (Regular, the one we have from factory in our cars)
* (Optional) BMW Clutch Release Arm Spring: 21517570284 (you are there, it's 3 bucks... change the clip)
Since you will be removing the mid-pipe for the work, why not just use fresh gaskets?:
* 2x Gasket downpipe OEM: 18307553603
* (Optional) 1x BMW Catalytic Converter Gasket (Rear part): 18117553130 (in case you only remove the mid pipe and not the entire exhaust system)
Since you already removed the Gearbox for the job, let's change the infamous Rear Crankshaft Seal
* 1x BMW Crankshaft Seal: 11117587168 <- please notice this is a new type of N54 seal. Don't require Loctite primer or inject extra sealant (Service Manual 11 14 151 from 01.01.09+)
* 6x ISA Screw, M12X1.5X25 (bolts for the Flywheel, they are one time use, you MUST use new ones): 11227520706
* (Optional) Official BMW Tools for removing and installing the Crankshaft Seal like a pro:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MHHRZC2
* (Optional) Twin Mass Flywheel 1M: 21207619659 (In case your flywheel is toasted... it's recommended to always change it but... it cost 1k+)
Since you are putting your transmission back... why not changing the Transmission mounts?
* (Optional) 2x BMW Trans Mount: 22316799331
Update July 02 2023:
I was not able to do the work without removing the driveshaft from both transmission and differential (in theory you can leave the diff side connected and hang but I was not able to do it in a proper way) so... I also changed all the bolts there. Here is the list.
Driveshaft bolts to M-Differential (Warning special procedure to install here)
1x Green Torx Bolt M10X52 ZNS: 26112284153 <- aligned to yellow mark on diff
1x Black Torx Bolt M10X52 ZNS: 26112284154 <- aligned to blue mark on diff
5x Torx Bolt with ribs M10X52-ZNS3: 26117526322 <- maybe just 4 are required, apologies don't remember when i did it
3x U-Reinforcement: 33207572719
Driveshaft bolts to transmission
(Optional) 6x Hex bolt M12X1,5X71-ZNS3: 26117527475
(Optional) 3x Self-locking hex nut: M12X1,5-10-ZNS3
(Optional) 1x Universal joint aka "Guibo": 26117610061 <- You are there... why not?

BRAKE IN PROCEDURE: Drive on the city for 500 miles (yep highway drive doesn't count, sorry. We need gear changes, lot of gear changes to do a proper brake-in). Don't be anxious and resist the temptation of WOT. If you want to be extra safe, just downgrade map to stock/ stage0 meanwhile to avoid applying the diabolic 650nm+ of torque

Just trying to help future members with a good list. Again, this is a OCD Spec list. In reality y
ou can just purchase the clutch kit, flywheel, fly wheel bolts and reuse everything else but... you are already there, it's a GOLD opportunity to access those areas/parts.
Thanks
