Right on... I'll look into it. I will do more lightening stuff a bit later.

It's very expensive to get significant weight out of the car... I'll have to pick and choose. Since this is part of the rotating mass I think I will give priority to this piece.

The priority will probably be a GT style CF bonnet/hood to get heat out of the engine bay, then the rotating assembly or unsprung weight.
