There was a thread about it but I can't find it now. It can be done but you'll need at least the E9X M3 steering wheel buttons and wiring (PN: 307091785-AB). Those make the paddles plug and play with the E82. Then the issue is the M3 DCT paddles don't fit the cutouts on the back of the E82 DCT wheel, it can be made to work but doesn't fit perfectly flush. If you're OCD about fit and finish like me the best way to go about it is buying an E9X M3 wheel with buttons and then buy the paddles you want. ETA: Part Numbers
