The main studs on the back of the F series paddle modules are slightly taller, so I didn’t install them since I had my factory modules, but it gave me the idea to try F series magnetic paddles that should work with some minor massaging.

I ordered this set from aliexpress and they arrived in less than a week: I just found this on AliExpress: $30.51 | Magnetic Carbon Fiber Paddle Shifters For BMW F10 F06 F07 G20 G30 F18 F12 F13 F20 F22 F30 F31 F32 F34 F36 2 3 4 5 6 7 Series

I used a file to shorten the main stud. First one took me about 15 min because I was being extra cautious. Second paddle went much faster.

The body of the magnetic paddles is a little more squared off than the original modules so I had to dremel two corners of the plastic mount. Super easy though. After that I swapped my DCT connectors to the magnetic paddles and everything works.

The wires on the f series paddles are a lot shorter than e series, so I thought I would have to lengthen them. But it turns out they are the perfect length.

How did you go about swapping the connectors?
