Yeah, pretty much. First gear especially, just can't get the car moving without bucking or feeling like a sloppy amateur. I've tried all sorts of ways to drive around it, and it continues to elude me. It's the one seemingly unfixable part of my car that has been driving me nuts for about 40k miles now.
I sort of became immune to it until I rented an ND Miata on Turo a year ago. That car isn't perfect *COUGH* EPS *COUGH*, but it offers a masterclass in what a clutch ought to feel like. Even my racecar 240 with a gnarly unsprung clutch is smoother than this.
