There is one clarification though. You mention that you can clearly see the solenoid in this pic:
If you are talking about that black rubber thing, I have it on my e90 too. It's used to keep the muffler from vibrating the car, and is not a solenoid. There is no wire that goes into it (the one in the pic is the brke line directly behind the vibration damper).
The valve on the 2nd tip is generally controlled by a vacuum line, and is on the right tip (looking at the back of the car), and is closer to the chrome cover part.

I couldn't get underneath enough to tell so I simply made an assumption :iono: Thanks for the clarification and with the exception of the slightly different muffler, it looks exactly the same on the Coupe
