This is interesting, if they come out with a M1 I may just get back into another 1 unless its the same N54 engine. Another inconsistency worth noting is why introduce the M model so late in the model cycle. The new 1 series will be out in Europe in a year. Although 1 coupe was just introduced 2 years ago I can't see them continue to sell the coupe for another 4-5 years.

I would put big dollars down that it won't be called an M1. "Supersports" sounds badass IMO, too.
The price diff should be similar to that of a base 3 and the Performance Package of yesterday years. BMW will not price this too close to a base M3. It would be an utter failure. They sure remember what they had to do to move the Z4M's off the lot.
The birdies are saying it will have things not available in the Performance catalog. I wonder what that could be.
