Here's an interesting comparison to make on paper at this point.
My guess is they will both accelerate and perform similarly on a track.
Sure the BMW is going to be the more refined car, but give your thoughts on the performance aspects of these two cars.

I'm guessing both will do
high 12's in 1/4
traps of 110-111 for M1
traps of 112+ for MGT

And based on Car and Driver's Lightening Lap times of current and previous 135i/335i and Mustang GT's, I'd say they'll both lap the VIR in the
3:06:0-3:07:0 range.

The Ford will probably be $15k cheaper to start
My guess is a base MSRP of $32-33k for the MGT and
$46-48k for the M1

Would any of you consider a $38k (nicely optioned) Mustang GT
over a $52k (nicely optioned) M1?
Thoughts on the two cars and how they might compare performance wise?
