I've been having long cranks (4-6 seconds) with occasional engine stumbles right after for about 6 months. I dropped her off at the dealership yesterday (2nd time) with the hope they'd replace the pump. The first time they reflashed the software, saying I'd had misfires on one of the coils. Haven't had that issue since, but the long cranks have just gotten worse. At this point I'm getting concerned I might get stranded as the issue is getting markedly worse. So, yesterday I heard from the dealership that BMW Germany wants to load new software on again. Apparently there's a new version that just came out last week. Unfortunately when they tried to load on the car yesterday it failed (either BMW's side or my car, not sure). I don't know if they found any faults at this point eiher. The SA said BMW is very hesitant to replace the pump right out of the gate. So, we'll see...
