IMO, I would prefer they call it an M1 but I dont care at this point either. Just dont price the damn thing too much like an M. The cheapest entry price into an M coupe today is 58K. Yiikes! We are certain the the M division had their hands ALL OVER THIS car and they are absolute mad. So they'll massage a mad car!

Scott said that BMW did not "bite the bullet." In one of his other posts, he said that they had been doing surveys and the name most people picked was M1 and that most said it should be the proper name for the car so that it fits in with the M3, M5, M6 names. In that same post he said: "BMW may have to bite the bullet." So I think this means that M1 is out of the question. If they don't call it M1 then I hope they call it M Coupe or something and not 1M. I hate the 1M name. The worse case would be M135i, LOL.
