~$48k sounds very plausible to me for this rig. Actually, it sounds likely, as I believe they'll work to keep it under $50k base to maintain a veneer of "affordability"

A 335i coupe starts around $42k but you're up at $58k to make it an M3 coupe, just as a fun comparison. That's a $16k premium for the M car.
