Totally agree.
Although I don't have an STI, I do own a WRX wagon.
I used to track an S2K a great deal and loved it. When I got rid of it to buy a house, the WRX seemed like a good/less expensive choice.
Took it to the track a few times and hated it. AWD is boring on anything other than snow. It's just too easy/uninvolved to drive.
