I don't think I took a pic of the other garage I installed them in, and mine just showed up today so I haven't installed them yet. It's certainly a more minimal look than the hanging lights. If your garage has tall ceilings the hanging ones may not be a height issue and the hanging ones may actually put out more effective light, since they're closer to the ground. But you can also put up twice the amount of these lights for the same price.
