i am not so quick to discard it, but bmw themselves seem to discard it.
touch the part that sits on top of the engine after a 30 min drive, that little isolating pad that is under the intake doesnt make any difference, that pipe is HOT!
i guess it wouldnt hurt trying, its a 30 min project with the proper tool.
already took it apart, just waiting for some parts to get here in a couple of days.
