Actually I have now found out theres at least 3 types of cruise control stalk. Theres:
1. A control stalk which has a distance control for active cruise
2. Control stalk with up/down/forwards/backwards (the one I have)
3. Control stalk with up/down and forwards/backwards with 2 positions, light press for 1kph speed increments, strong press for 5kph increments.
The 3rd one is used for dynamic cruise. So that would probably explain why option $544 doesn't work because we have the wrong stalk. Probably the can message is different for the stalks and the DSC doesn't like it.
The solution might be to buy a new switch column but that doesn't explain why I can't revert to stock.
PXF00367, what model and what options are fitted to your car? Did you have any other modifications?
